Huayra

After seven years of hard work I am now able to tell you a little brief history and the path that led to the birth of the Huayra, project name C9.

Overview

The Huayra is the result of more than 10,000 meticulously crafted components, brought together with creativity, patience, and passion. Its proportions were carefully designed to refine the formula introduced with the Zonda: a longer body, a wider track, and a more spacious cabin set further back for improved balance and comfort. The exterior blends soft, flowing lines with purposeful aerodynamics, defined by Pagani’s signature elliptical shapes and the central exhaust motif. From its earliest concepts, active aerodynamics and advanced suspension were integral, ensuring that the Huayra’s sculpted form performs as beautifully as it looks.

Performance

The Huayra was the first road car to pioneer active aerodynamic flaps, dynamically adjusting at all four corners to balance downforce and drag in real time. Paired with an adaptive front suspension, this system ensures stability and control across all driving conditions, allowing the car to corner, brake, and accelerate with remarkable precision. Every surface of the Huayra has been shaped as part of an aerodynamic wing, balancing lift and downforce to deliver an experience akin to the raw power of flight.

Engine

At its heart lies a Mercedes-AMG 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged V12, developed exclusively for Pagani. Producing 730 horsepower and 1,000 Nm of torque, the engine combines immense power with remarkable lightness. The surge of acceleration evokes the force of an aircraft taking off, while the seven-speed sequential gearbox delivers immediate response and driver-focused engagement. This powertrain defines the Huayra’s blend of artistry and brute force, making it both a technological marvel and an emotional driving experience.
